Bi-Weekly Group Update

So here we are at the end of another two weeks. It's been a bit of a rough patch as family has come to tempt up with tasty treats, and trips have interrupted our efforts. But with plenty of time before this competition comes to a close, it's still anyone's game!

Our competition is based on percentage of weight loss, so here are the current standings:

Shelley: 16.8lbs Lost, 8%

Katie: 13.7lbs Lost, 7.7%

Kaisi: 10.1lbs Lost, 6% (Kaisi's number might be based on old info as she has been traveling so I may update this number tomorrow).

Katie is picking up speed. I've got to get it together to prevent her completely lapping me! Sadly, we haven't posted pictures yet but you should know Katie is looking amazing! I haven't seen Kaisi in a while but she was looking pretty good too when I saw her last. I'll keep you posted!

Bring it on ladies! Keep the fire alive!

Katie's Story

Well this is going to be exciting and I am excited to begin my blogging and also my weight loss adventure! I'm Katie and am the very proud mother of an adorable little boy! I love being a mommy and I do believe that I have one of the cutest little guys in ALL the universe! Growing up I was a Ballet dancer and therefore I never really had to worry about my weight. I say that loosely because I was always dieting and not eating and dancing. So I was always skinny. Therefore I have never really been a healthy dieter nor have I ever enjoyed exercising because to me Ballet isn't exercise its just fun! I would do Ballet now but there is NO WAY I am ever putting toe shoes on again n0t to mention a leotard and tights :) When Shelley and I discussed doing The Biggest Loser I was excited and nervous as I have in the past 5 years failed at losing weight and working out. However I have hope that this time it just might work as I now have a blog and others watching and I have always been fairly competitive and so here goes nothing! Wish me luck! I sure hope I am a gracious winner :)

UPDATE: I am now a lucky mother of 2 adorable kiddos! My daughter was recently born and it is time for me to get back on the diet wagon. So here we go again!!

Kaisi's Story

Hi, my name is Kaisi Grow. I have never had to write a profile about my weight journey so I am not really sure where to begin... I guess I will just start where everyone does. I enjoy long walks on the beach, but lately it seems they have turned into short winded waddles. I am just kidding...but seriously I have never really been good at dieting or exercising because frankly I never stick to it, I am all talk. So when Shelly & Katie asked me to do the "Biggest Looser" with them I though what a great way to be forced into sticking to something rather than having it stick to me!. I recently had a baby girl that we named Sadie. When I was pregnant I gained roughly 38-39lbs, so you can imagine my surprise when Sadie came out weighing only 7lbs 11oz. My mind immediately went to all the food I chowed down over the last 9 months. Muffin tops are my favorite, but I hadn't taken that "you are what you eat" thing seriously. I knew it was time for a major rebound, but have not had the moral support or peer pressure until now!. December 1st is my deadline and I am hoping to hit my goal of 135lbs! I am exited to take you along the way, so please hang in there with me through my mood swings and bitter days because I know by cutting down on my Diet Coke there are bound to be some!
