I'm the first one on today! I am so on top of things today :) haha! Ok so today was a good day! I love dieting! I just feel so much better about myself and that in turn helps me be in a better mood. Last night my little man didn't sleep very well and then he woke up kinda early. So I was pretty tired this morning! However it has been one full week since I have had any soda pop and although I was tired I didn't crave it like I did a week ago. Instead of some caffeine I had water. This afternoon James and I went swimming and had such a nice time. It was just the two of us in the pool and it was so fun! I put James in his little floaty (technically its Wills) and we swam laps. Well I swam and James just came along for the ride. We did that for awhile and then James started to fall asleep so I took him out of the floaty and walked around in the pool for a little bit. We spent about an hour in the pool and it was nice and refreshing. It just feels good to move around and be outside. I had a craving to munch today so I munched on dried apples, they totally helped take care of the craving. Dan had to work tonight so we went out to dinner at Panera. Before we left for Panera I got on line to figure out if I could make my sandwich with less calories because I am kinda sick of salad and wanted a full sandwich instead. On the Panera website you can pick your sandwich and substitute things in it and it will then update and tell you how many calories something is. I always get the Sierra Turkey sandwich it is soooo good! But instead of the cheese bread I had them make it with sourdough bread and instead of the yummy fattening sauce I had them put on light mayo. It reduced the calories by 200 calories which was perfect for what I wanted! By the way it was just as good.
Also today I wanted to look up some things that I had been eating in the past. Now this is embarrassing to admit but I looked up one of my favorite lunches. Carls Jr Western Bacon Cheeseburger (without bacon) and an order of chili cheese fries. Dan and I would share the fries but still it is sooo bad for you! The chili cheese fries alone are over 900 calories. I was eating over 1200 calories in one meal. GROSS!! I can't believe that I was eating like that! I am so glad that I am now eating healthy. I NEVER want to eat like that again! Thats why I really like this diet because I don't really feel deprived of anything, I just feel healthy and it is training my body to consume healthy things instead of chili cheese fries :) Here is what I ate today:
Breakfast : Cheerios, Fresh Fruit, Skim Milk = 284 calories
Lunch : Chicken Spinach Wrap with hummus = 215 calories
Dinner : Sierra Turkey Sandwich (modified by me) 460 calories
Snacks : Fiber One Brownie, Dried Fruit, Pinkberry 225
Exercise : Swimming for 45 min = burn 349 calories
The night is young but I don't feel like munching at all! HOORAY!! Til tomorrow . . . Happy Dieting!
