Kaisi: Day 1

Well, today is the day! No more talk... I woke up this morning and went to the kitchen for my annual Captain Crunch when I realized, crap... that's not very healthy!! I rummaged through the cupboards and fridge for some grub and decided on some eggs with NO cheese, that's right NO CHEESE! That one hurt... Oh well, after I was proud! As I drove to Shelly's for my weigh in, I started getting really excited about this. What a fun idea! I hope that we are able to inspire someone somewhere to loose weight as well. I had to do some grocery shopping this afternoon and man was it hard to walk past some of my fav's. I actually ended up leaving the store with ALL healthy food which for me is a first. By the time it was dinnertime I was starving! I prepared some plain old chicken with some rice and it couldn't cook fast enough, but I didn't snack while I was waiting and I used a small plate while dishing. Another two things that, for me, was very hard!. For my workout today I did the "deck of cards" and ran/walked a mile. It rocked my socks! If any of you are unfamiliar with the "deck of cards" you assign a move you want to do for each suit. In my case for Spades it was lunges, diamonds were crunches, clovers were jumping jacks and hearts were push ups. As you flip the cards you do as many as the card says. J, Q and K are 10 and Ace is 15. My lunges were all bunched together and I thought I was going to die. My husband just kept laughing each time I flipped a card and it was another spade. Well, it's time to hit the showers! Until tomorrow....
