Katie Day 8 and 9

Hello everyone. sorry I didn't post yesterday. It was a crazy night and by the time I had a minute to post I wanted to crash so I did. Yesterday was a great day! I went to Zumba with Kaisi and had so much fun! It felt so good to be dancing. The only thing I didn't like was my reflexion, but I also felt that I was doing something about that. When I felt myself getting discouraged with how I looked because lets face it "Why did I let myself go like this?" But again when I felt myself getting discouraged I would do some positive self talking about the fact that I am now in control of my eating habits once again and am staying true to my diet. So although I may not like what I see in the mirror right now I know that come December I will. And that helps keep me going strong! Thanks ladies for doing this with me! To save on post length let me just say that yesterday I ate good and consumed a total of 1131 Calories. Now I know I need to eat at least 1200 but I miss calculated and by the time I realized it, it was too late in the evening to fix. Oh well at least I didn't go to bed hungry :)

Day 9 has also been a good day. I hosted baby play group and was a little nervous about what the other moms were going to bring as a snack. However I didn't have to worry as one mom brought something that would give me a headache and the other mom brought dried fruit. Might I also add that the dried fruit is from costco it comes in a box with individually packaged apples, bananas/strawberries, and cinnamon apples. Each bag is 35 Calories and tastes so good! Its my new favorite snack!! Breakfast was my usual cheerios and fruit. For lunch I had chicken meatballs and some cantaloupe. Dinner was super yummy and filling, I made couscous and chicken and squash. To quote a phrase "YUMMO"! Here is my break down:

Breakfast : Cheerios 1 cup 103 cal
Raspberries 1/2 cup 32 cal
Skim Milk 1 cup 90 cal

Lunch : Chicken Meatballs 225 cal
Cantaloupe 1 cup 60 cal

Dinner : Couscous toasted pine nut 1/2 cup 200 cal
Tomato Sauce 1/2 cup 70 cal
Chicken Breast 4 oz 100 cal
Light Swiss Cheese 1 slice 50 cal
Zucchini/Squash 1/2 cup 10 cal

Snacks : Yoplait Chocolate Yogurt 100 cal
Fuji Apple Slices 35 cal
Yoplait Lemon Yogurt 100 cal
Munched on fruit and dried fruit at baby play group (100 cal to be on the safe side)

I can't believe how much you can still eat when its the right stuff! Counting calories is actually an easy way to diet! It is quickly becoming my favorite diet, thanks Shelley for inspiring me! I am feeling so good that we started this last week. I already feel like my clothes look better on me :) Until tomorrow Happy Dieting!
