So much to say. . .and so tired. . .hmmm. Well, first I'll start with this crazy weight loss. I still can't believe how fast it's coming off and I haven't even started working out yet. I thought for sure I was going to hit a plateau and then, bam, two pounds down. Crazy, but I'll take it!
Although, I'm pretty sure today won't really help me lose any lbs. I was up in Palo Alto so I decided to go see my old co-workers and show off my little man (I'm just so proud of him and he is so adorable!). I ended up going to lunch with Sirma, we used to work pretty closely, and we spent the time catching up. We went to cheesecake factory and Uncle Ned (Ned Johnson owns Fidelity Investments) paid for lunch. I was sooooo good. I LOVE, like would marry if it wasn't totally weird LOVE their cream of mushroom soup and it happened to be the soup of the day, argh. I ordered the Renee Special which is a turkey sami (I got no condiments other than lettuce and a tomato because I don't trust Cheesecake Factory), a field green salad, and soup. It took all of my willpower to not eat the soup. I had two spoonfuls and that was it but man was I ever tempted. I ended up not adding more than a tsp of the low-fat dressing just in case they made up for the low fat with lots of sugar (a popular M.O.). I also just ate the sami insides (the bread just wasn't worth the calerinos). So needless to say I left really proud of myself!
Now we come to the bad part of the day, well it was good, but also naughty. Jason and I have been married 7 years and to celebrate we went to our favorite restaurant, Pizza Antica (http://www.pizzaantica.com/menu.php). If you have never been then you are not living life to the fullest. It's so fresh and yummy. We split a salad and I ended up not using dressing because all of the elements were so tasty they didn't need it and then we split the Gnocchi. It is LIFE ALTERINGLY GOOD. You have NO IDEA until you taste it but split it because it is HUGE. Even having split it I'm pretty sure with that tomato cream sauce it was not a diet winner but I gave myself a pass because it was our anniversary. I also had the most amazing tart for dessert. Jason and I shared what I would really compare more to a super light chocolate souffle than a tart but it was not large so I didn't feel too bad but I would imagine today was pretty much a loss. I won't even pretend to know what the calorie count was as I have no clue but I do know I will be making up for today in the days to come. I have to say though, totally worth it and happy anniversary honey!
