Katie Day 30

What a great day!! I have some great news . . . For the 1st time in a very long time I weigh less then my husband!! Yes thats right I now weigh LESS! HIP HIP HOORAY!!! I feel sooooo good! For anyone out there reading this and feeling discouraged about dieting let me tell you COUNTING CALORIES IS THE WAY TO GO! It is super easy with myfitnesspal and I still can't get over how much I can eat while dieting. In fact I don't really feel like Im on a diet I just feel like I am making better choices on what I eat.

Today for lunch I went to In n Out and had a hamburger protein style (so no bun) and I asked them to not put on the spread. I just had grilled onions and ketchup and mustard. It was good and only 240 calories. Dinner was DELICIOUS we had grilled zucchini, grilled pineapple, chicken burgers (no bun), and salad. I was super satisfied and full and it was a lot of food and only 392 calories. A few minutes ago I thought hot chocolate sounded good. So I had some and it was GREAT! I used the Nestle fat free cocoa thats 20 calories for 2 Tbs. I like chocolate as we all know so I put in 3 Tbs then I put in 1 Tbs of marshmallow cream and 2 Tbs of light whipped cream (the kind you spray). It all came to 57 calories and totally hit the spot! I think the major thing that I am learning while on this diet is that I can still eat great but now I am so much smarter about what I consume. I am NEVER going back to how I used to eat! Here's what I ate today :

Breakfast : Cheerios, Skim Milk, 1/2 Banana 203 calories

Lunch: In N Out Protein Style Hamburger 240 calories

Dinner : Chicken Burger, Salad, Zucchini, Pineapple 392 calories

Snacks : Fiber One Brownie, Chocolate Cream Cake (weight watchers and so good), Hot Chocolate 237 calories

Again I just want to say that if you are discouraged about dieting just start counting calories. Believe me I have never liked the idea of a diet and have never done it right until now. This is the way to go! So until tomorrow . . . Happy Dieting!
