Kaisi: Day 20

Today was pretty long day. Sadie woke up around 6:00 so that was my queue to get ready to hit the road. I had a quick breakfast and we ended up leaving around 7:30 and it was all trouble from there on. About 25 miles into our 7hr trip our tire pressure monitor came on. It was so finicky and it kept coming on and off for the entire trip. At first it obviously scared me quite a bit. I was so worried about a tire blowing out while driving with my sweetie. I ended up going to a tire shop and they said I was good to go. I guess it calmed me a little, but not much. I knew I wanted to have lunch in LA, because sweet moments around Cafe Rio are far and in between. About 4 hours into my trip I started getting quite hungry. I thought to myself, don't blow this... you can wait till LA (about another hour and half) So I grabbed a bag of granola I had brought with me and had a few bites. I am SO glad I did because LA traffic hit us like a ton of bricks. Lets just say my 6 1/2 hr drive ended up being closer to 10 hrs. I know, UGH!. We finally made it to Cafe Rio about the time Sadie and I were about to kill over from hunger. I ordered a Chicken Breast salad. I used to be able to down a burrito or salad like nothing and I was only able to eat about 1/4 that salad before I got full!. I guess my stomach is shrinking... I am proud of myself that I called it quits once I was feeling full so I didn't gorge myself. We finally Arrived in San Diego and my wonderful in-laws had prepared a yummy chicken dinner. After dinner we went for a walk and just hung out. I believe now it's time for bed... so no real workout tonight, just out mile walk. Hopefully I will do better tomorrow....
