I had slim-fast for breakfast, mostly because I was to tired to make anything else. For lunch I had a fairly decent meal, I cooked up a small piece of chicken, cucumber and corn on the cob. It was yummy, but I was stuffed after. About an hour later I had a MAJOR sweet tooth. I wanted like cake, cupcakes or brownies like mad. I knew if I cooked a batch of anything up I would have to take my one portion out and give the rest away or else I would eat it all week. Marc had a study group he had to go to this evening so I thought, perfect! I made up a pan of brownies, literally took one brownie out and then scooped the rest onto a plate to send with him. I have to admit, it hit the spot!. I also took the spare ends off the knife as I cut the rest of the pan, but that was just little pieces every now and then. After I ate it I felt great!. I knew that would get me through another week or two with no sweets.
I really like that this diet is going for four months. Obviously you don't want to eat sweets or fatty foods everyday, but when you are loosing weight over a long period of time it makes it okay to have one here or there. I believe that is why I always broke off my diets in the past is because I would get to a point where I would want a cheat meal and couldn't wait until I hit my goal weight to eat it so I would just call it quits and eat it... Here I know it's okay to have ONE as long as I get back to my diet and hit the gym hard the next day or two. My hubs is huge on the rewarding yourself with a cheat day once a week so you keep your diet going for longer. It doesn't even have to be a whole day, just one thing that you have been craving. It's a small piece of motivation, but it keeps you going. I know I don't want to hit that wall where I haven't rewarded myself along the way for doing so well that I quit and fall off the wagon completely. Anyways, here are my stats for the day...
Breakfast: Slim-fast
Lunch: 40z Chicken, 1 slice of cucumber and 1 corn on the cob.
Snack: Brownie. YUM!
Dinner: Slim-fast
Workout: 1 mile walk.
I hope she gets better soon!
