This morning when I got the munchies I brewed up a little low-sodium chicken broth which I tend to use instead of water because plain water is gross and I'm trying to do better about too many artificial sweetners. I guess the real danger now is sodium so I'll be keeping an eye on that.
I also had a fantastic breakfast. I found these really yummy veggie patties at Costco that are just 120 calories. They have egg whites, chick peas, spinach and just a hint of curry and with a little mustard it was excellent! The best part is I got plenty of protein to keep me going but I didn't have to actually eat eggs (which I would normally need to cover in sugary ketchup to make edible). I had 100g of watermelon (30 cal) as a complement and I was set to go.
Snack: Orange (60 cals) and YUMMY!
I was out and about at lunchtime and was sooooo tempted to get a gourmet taco at Rubio's but went with the smart option of a grilled veggie salad with dressing on the side (350 cal). I know this is going to sound bad but it really isn't, I had Pinkberry for lunch too because I happened to be right across from it (100 cal).
Snack: 2 cups chicken broth (10 cal)
For Dinner I went to Panera with Katie and her brood (she was keeping me company since my husband had to work late and I stuck with the safest option, chicken noodle soup(140 cal) and a side salad (200 cal). Afterward, we stopped by Pinkberry where I consumed (90 cal) frozen yogurt and (10 cal) of toppings. I LOVE THE MINI SIZE!!! Thank you Pinkberry!
Tomorrow I'm headed to the doctor for a minor proceedure that will require anestheia so no eating. For that reason I had one more veggie patty for a late snack (120 cal).
Total Caloric Intake Today: 1240 (I have added 100 calories for miscellaneous bites of my sons fruit throughout the day).
BMR CALC: 1760-1240= 520 Deficit (Only 2,980 cal until my first pound is lost!)
(If you are confused by this please see Shelley: Day 1 Post)
Hopefully, after my doctor's visit I'll be cleared to get working out again soon and that will really help as well. I'll keep you posted!
Also, way to go Kaisi on keeping out of the freezer! Stay strong, nothing tastes as good as being thin!
